THE worlds of music and technology are not ones automatically connected – but a partnership between an IT company and an orchestra has found a perfect synergy.
Vanilla Solutions, experts and market leaders in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, have forged a unique relationship with Capital Orchestra, the country’s first cross-conservatoire jazz/pop ensemble.
The new partnership between Vanilla and Capital will see the orchestra provide its unique brand of music for Vanilla’s growing video output and the orchestra will have the opportunity to showcase their distinctive brand of music to a wider audience.
Vanilla Director Jason Belcher explained: “We’re proud and excited to announce our new partnership with Capital Orchestra. We come from completely unrelated industries, but we’re united by the common goal of doing things differently and breaking boundaries within our respective sectors.
“Capital hasn’t been around long, but have had an immediate impact and rave reviews. We’re looking forward to working with them on our video production, and Capital giving our videos a unique quality.”
Established in mid-2018, the orchestra specialises in playing repertoire in and around the genres of jazz and pop, with a powerful, 85-piece ensemble. Capital aims to break stereotypes of the orchestral music scene through collaboration with emerging artists, and creating and supporting equal opportunities for artists.
Vanilla Director Jason Belcher added: “We see genuine synergies between ourselves and Capital Orchestra in terms of breaking the mould and challenging perceptions. We share the same values, the same passion to be the best, the same obsession with quality.”
Capital Orchestra Director Sam Gale said: “We are extremely grateful for the generosity from Vanilla. It’s exciting to be supported by an organisation who view future development in a similar way to us, and drawing the worlds of music and tech together.”
