On Saturday 6th of July we hosted our annual summer party and also ten years of Vanilla.
Carlton Towers, a hidden gem in the Yorkshire countryside, played host to one of the best parties we’ve had as a company. Over 70 people descended on this beautiful venue – our employees and their families along with specially invited guests from who have been part of our 10 years in business.
The festivities kicked-off with some inflatable fun. We were split into teams to take on the games, including an assault course and human hungry, hungry hippos to name but two. Following that it was on to archery tag and dodgeball. A heroic effort by all, lead to a victory for the team lead by Andy Bell before we all checked-in and retired to our rooms.
The day didn’t end there, after freshening up we were back in the grounds with a ‘Wall of Fire’ BBQ extravaganza, speeches, cake cuttings, and a finally a chance to kick back and relax with a few drinks.
We would like to thank Mike Hanson and his team at What-an-event who organised our amazing celebrations, they really made it everything we wanted and more, a truly memorable occasion. The cake was beautifully designed and created by Sue Bedford at Suzie’s Cakes and Bakes and was devoured almost immediately, it really did taste as good as it looked. Finally, the staff at Carlton Towers were the most hospitable of hosts.
So, here’s to the most incredible journey that has been the first decade of Vanilla, and we look forward to what the future holds.
